Shanxi submersible pump cavitation phenomenon detailed explanation
1. Cavitation
Liquid at a certain temperature, reduce the pressure to the temperature of the vaporization pressure, the liquid will produce bubbles. This phenomenon of generating bubbles is called cavitation.
2. Cavitation process
The process of generating bubbles and bursting bubbles in Shanxi submersible pumps to cause damage to the flow components is the cavitation process in the pump. Shanxi submersible pump cavitation in addition to the over-flow components will have a destructive effect, but also produce noise and vibration, and lead to the performance of the pump, serious when the pump liquid interruption, can not work properly.
3. Cavitation collapse
When the bubbles generated by cavitation flow to high pressure, their volume decreases and they burst. This phenomenon of bubbles disappearing in the liquid due to pressure rise is called cavitation collapse.
4. Causes and hazards of cavitation
During the operation of Shanxi submersible pump, if the absolute pressure of the pumped liquid is reduced to the vaporization pressure of the liquid at the current temperature due to some reason in the local area of the flowing part (usually somewhere later at the impeller blade inlet), the liquid will start to vaporize there, generating a large amount of steam and forming bubbles. When the liquid containing a large amount of bubbles passes forward through the high pressure area in the impeller, the high pressure liquid surrounding the bubble causes the bubble to shrink sharply to the point of collapse. At the same time of bubble condensation and rupture, the liquid particle fills the cavity at a high speed, which produces a strong water hammer effect at this moment, and hits the metal surface with a high impact frequency. The impact stress can reach hundreds to thousands of atmospheres, and the impact frequency can reach tens of thousands of times per second. In severe cases, the wall thickness will be broken down.
